Forever, I think that useing command-line is the fastest how to use unix operation system. So I hate the fat gui of ubuntu. My method is simple: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install sysv-rc-conf sudo sysv-rc-conf Make sure level 2 & 3 be same. And then drop GDM from level 2. In the past four years, my operation system was BSD. Somebody suggested me to try Ubuntu, but I had no idea for it. Today, my system was broken, so I decided to install it to my computer. But I had any drivers of cdrom, I must install it without CD/DVD.
